Depends on the music. I rarely try to picture myself a part of an audience or imagine myself in some kind of room.

On good listening sessions, I can let the music take over and program my emotions for however long it goes on.

Since I'm as likely to be listening to musique concrete as J-pop, be-bop or early-90s alternarock, I can't really say I drift away with it. But whatever it is, the effort I've put into better listening equipment makes the experience a lot more immersive, even if I'm not trying to listen to details or spacial cues.

This might sound weird but I use the AKG K601 + 5.1 speaker system + Triple.fi 10.

I use my K601 like I nnormally do, then I turn on the speakers, 4 all around me, the K601 are so open that I can hear the speakers behind it and it makes for an awesome soundstage, then the TF10 in my nose and I can feel the bass shaking my skull, all that while sitting in the subwoofer, right in the center of the 4 speakers.

You could be using your face more when listening, James.  It's a much more immersive experience.

Yeah I don't try to picture myself doing something when listening to music, but my mind tends to wander of into fantasies when doing so. Mostly pretending to be part of the band if I really enjoy the song L3000.gif

I can't help but think that the super tweeter is nothing more than bull****.
Similar to something like a magic stone you put on your speakers. Apparently some company at RMAF was displaying this.
£99.15 for magic diamonds!

It does something with the harmonizers also sold on that website.
  • "They are the ideal addition to the Steinmusic Harmonizer and considerably intensify its effectiveness."

The Harmonizer apparently improves the quality of the air on an ethereal level.
  • "The Steinmusic Harmonizer is working very similar, but rather at a level of ethereal states. The air is not moved in reality, but instead will be charged with information, which is causing the same effect. Now it can be elongated from its rest position without much effort and thus is able to transport sound events to the listeners ear in a completely different quality."

The air molecules inside of the listening room are ‚jogged’ trough the loudspeaker and thus transmit the sound information. In order to elongate the air molecules from their rest position it is necessary to spend energy first. It is much easier to move them if once moving.

So basically its a really fancy fan ? confused.gif
