New Flagship from Audio-Technica: ATH-W3000ANV, 50th Anniversary Headphones - Page 6

Is it 7 pre-orders so far at Head-Fi? =D

I've never used Audio Cubes. When I used PriceJapan, the shipping and delivery was crazy fast. If they just have the phones on time, I'm sure the process will be fast. = )

And yes, Swype sucks... Pretty much every great invention regarding typing with a cellphone also...

My experience with AudioCubes has been a mixed bag. The last few times I've used them they've been extremely SLOW. Oh, you'll get your items. It just might take a while.

Especially since these new ATs aren't officially released until the 18th of this month. I'd add a week or two wait time at the very least, going by my past experience with AudioCubes. So yeah... that "ships in 3 to 5 days?" I wouldn't count on it.

Having said that, I'm in the same boat now due to the whole PayPal debacle. Went ahead and canceled my order with PriceJapan and re-ordered from AudioCubes, since they take credit cards. Here's hoping I see these by December 1st.

PayPal debacle, what PayPal debacle? Something I need to know?

Whoops, got this thread mixed up with the Anniversary thread.

I pre-ordered my W3000ANV from PriceJapan initially, but for some reason PayPal decided to reverse the transaction and limit my account. Putting it on lockdown, basically. Having called customer service, they say it's because the payment was "so large."

Which I find odd, considering I've sent twice as much over PayPal on various occasions in the past with nary a hitch.

Ended up having PriceJapan cancel my order. I didn't want to make Kaneda wait for PayPal's "investigation" (which I was told would take 4 to 5 days), and I couldn't do a bank transfer since PayPal credited the amount to my PayPal account, and it would take additional time once cleared to have it redirected BACK to my bank account.

I also pre-order with pricejapan.  Last time I ordered a SR-407 from them right before the massive earthquark at Feb, and they only missed the delivery by a day.

I have great respect for their professionalism.

for those who pre-ordered, can't wait to hear your impressions! i think both pricejapan and audiocubes are generally fine, no preference with 1 over the other. but i'm guessing most would go for pricejapan since the higher end stuff there are generally cheaper.

Generally PriceJapan is cheaper, but with the W3000ANV the difference between the two is negligible. Both came out to be about the same for me. I think the main benefit is that PriceJapan is almost certainly faster in shipping.

Oh, I should add that PriceJapan seems MUCH easier to get in touch with these days. Send them an e-mail, and you'll hear back by the end of the day. Sometimes even by the end of the hour! AudioCubes takes longer to reply, and I've had one instance where I never got a response at all. They've always come through; it just takes them longer and they sometimes fall down on the communication end of things.

PriceJapan just stopped taking pre-orders. Glad I ordered when I did (Well, I'm glad. My bank account isn't). No.8.

Did anyone compare the LCD3 with this ATH latest flagship?

I did have a go at both the LCD3 as well as the W3000ANV at the recent Tokyo Headphone festival and thought both were the highlights of the show.

More impressions from myself as well as from Currawong, arnaud and Mkubota1 in the thread here and here.

Has anyone heard anything about the case?  I'm a proud owner of the w2002's and the cans in combination with the case are gorgeous.

I'm in Nagoya, Japan right now (one of the biggest cities in Japan) and will be picking up a pair of the W3000ANV's, albeit looks like it's going to be on the 19th instead of the 18th due to family plans.

I'll be posting impressions and pics later, though I only have the EW9 and ESW9's here with me and my laptop to use for comparison sake (no w2002's, no audiophile source/amp).

This wait is just taking WAY TOO LONG!

God, I'm seriously going on Google like everyday searching up "Audio Technica W3000ANV" or "Audio Technica W3000ANV sucks" to see if I can get any new dirt.
