New Flagship from Audio-Technica: ATH-W3000ANV, 50th Anniversary Headphones - Page 5  

I leave for a few months, and this is what I come back to? The LCD-3 and a new AT woodie? God help me.

So yeah, I have a pair of the W3000ANV on order.

AT's wooden models have always occupied a place somewhere in between forgettable and absolutely magical in my experience, but at the very least they certainly LOOK the part.

Neat, looking forward to read the impressions from people like you and purk who have experience with many different ATH models.

I hope i can hand on this model too...i'm already collected the three model (W11JPN, ESW10JPN & W2002)which made of Echizen lacquer.

The W3000ANV was actually at the Tokyo headphone festival that just happened on the 29th Oct. Some impressions and photos at the meet here.

Yup, that's the impression i got while auditioning these at the meet in Japan recently. I did however listen to these only through the HA5000ANV tho so can't say with any authority if these will sound as good as they did if driven with another amp. It was one of the highlights of the Tokyo headphone festival for me. Just amazing sound from when paired together,

These really are head-turners as well, photos don't do justice to these at all.

If I eventually agree with that impression, it'll be a heaven on earth for me. = ) Can't wait for them!

For the price they better be much better than the LCD-2's in slam and clarity. Pretty doubtful of this since these are both the strong points of planar drivers.

LCD-2 has slam? It was pretty boring when I heard them.

I'd imagine most have gone with PriceJapan, the cheaper solution for any Japanese electronics above 100€...

However, AudioCubes is a smooth shopping experience, and their handling and shipping are always perfect. The fastest I ever experienced was delivery 4 days after order, and most of the time within a week.

Price Japan says release is on the 18th. I think Audio Cubes tend to process really slow ly but this is my first time usimg price japan

I hate typing on an Iphone.

Swype on Android is worse.  I just texted someone that I was mentoring children and I didn't realize what I'd sent until they texted back asking why I was murdering them.

I've got a pair on order from Aiko store don't know anything about them but they have a nifty site and a competitive price. Also ordered a Yamamoto HA-02 to go with them somehow I just couldn't handle the idea of having these cans run by a Schiit Lyr. I was going to get a pair of LCD3s but I figured I can always order them down the line which I can't do with these beauties.
