Springs For Connectors

Thread Starter

I have a pair of LA7000's and I want to re-terminate them with xlr's.  The cable currently has heat shrink and a spring as well as a single 1/4" connector.  I have the other parts, but am not sure where to get some nice springs like this one.  Any ideas?

Thanks,
bbc

You can try to reuse the spring you have since you know you like it.  Otherwise you can look around the house for springs (that's what I do for projects of various sorts).  Nerf modders find springs in hardware stores; some find variety packs.

My Neutrik XLR (http://www.neutrik.com/en/xlr/x-series/nc4mx) has a rubber boot entry that will provide the same sort of protection/relief that the spring would.  Will that do?
