Help in Modding Sennheiser HD500

Hi,

     I recently bought a Hd500 for outside use with my ipod. Got it for $20. But without even the cable. I'm using it with my dad's hd590 cable. I know this headphone does not have a good reputation among lotsa people but would appreciate all the help I can get in modding them. I saw the Charles Miller mod but before I do it, I want to get the opinions of others on anything else that I can do about this headphone. What can be done to mod this headphone and make it sound more decent? Thanks

Hi, forgot to mention. I need to do something about the sound leaking out from the back as these are open type headphones. What can be done to prevent all the sound leaking out from the back? It may be annoying for others as I travel in the train alot. Is it advisable to use deflex pads or dynamat?
