Psychoacoustics?

I've been looking at some career options, and psychoacoustics seems interesting. Anyone know anything about it, or are in the field?

Thanks!

Mike

someone with as much patience as you've just demonstrated may have difficulty with a Science PhD program - particularly in the US where more than 1/2 require >5yrs

nor is it obvious it is a viable economic decision going forward

"sounds" like a great career move if you are interested in working for a "monsterous" (Cough) RIP-Off (Cough) audio cable company..... LOL

It does indeed seem like an interesting subject to study, but do consider the fact that it might be difficult to get a good paying job in that area.
Your best bet is to study it out of pure interest, and then slowly move on to a more profitable career.

Many people doing a PhD end up doing a couple years of research, after which they eventually end up in finance as there is very little money in scientific research/development
