So I'm finally looking to upgrade my E7 to a nonportable DAC/Amp combo unit. For the past few weeks I've been researching the Audinst HUD-MX1 and it's seemed like a good option. However, I've recently been linked to the Tubemagic D1 & Zero DAC. I admittedly have absolutely no experience with tubes, as I listen to a wide variety of music and want as clean and neutral of a signal as possible. Even so, these other options are both looking good and fit into my budget of ~$200. My other concern is the different power requirements of my headphones. I use a Fostex T50RP modified to sound flat, and an AD900. Could anyone compare these three units or recommend others within my parameters?
