My ipod nano 5th generation got stolen a couple of months ago; I'm thinking about purchasing a new ipod nano 6th generation 16gb. I want to know what kind of DAC is in ipod nano 6th generation? The music listen to in aac 256kbps and apple lossless through some, Audioengine A5 is: Swollen members(Apple Lossless), Sweatshop Union(Apple Lossless), D-sisive(Apple Lossless), some metal bands. I currently planning purchase an Sennheiser HD 600 from JR.com, can you give some amplify to power the headphone?

Did you know? Konrad Zuse making the world first fully functional computer, called the Z3.  Created in May 1941.

The 6th Gen nano uses the Wolfson DAC.  The only ipod that uses something different is the 6th Gen Classic which utilizes the Cirrus Logic DAC.  Both DAC's are known to be very musical and wonderful DAC's found in expensive CD players or other high-end DAC's.

As far as headphones / amps go I would rather have the AKG Q701 or DT990 ( 250 Ohm ) instead of the HD-600 because the 600 is a little too laid back for my taste.  The Q701 and DT990 are just as good, but give you a little bit more of an up-front sound as well as deeper bass.

The Headroom Ultra Desktop drove my HD-650's and 600's when I had them quite well.  I would recommend those, but there are a few other amps around that seem to drive them better.  Perhaps someone else will chime in and give you an A/B comparison of a few amps with the HD-600.

I believe Leonardo dai Vinci had a calculator in the 1490's, but because the modern definition of computer includes the use of electrons he is not credited for the first computer.  I imagine the Chinese had something mechanical well before Mr. da Vinci.

It is astounding realizing that the computer in its modern form has drastically changed how we live in such a short time.
