Sid-fi had passed along the news and I too am truly saddened to hear of her passing. I know it was a long and painful battle. Here's to hoping for joy in her memory and a happier tomorrow.

I'm so sorry. This is one of the worst things life can deliver and there's nothing easy about it. You have my support and the rest of the community is there for you, too.

Always a terrible thing. I've met a lot of people who suddenly lost their loved ones, including spouses and sons. It's awful and I try to be be as supportive as possible within their presence as I imagine the feeling of being lost in that moment. Usually, I don't know what to say but I extend as many kind words as possible.

I remember recently, I met an elderly gentleman and he told me his wife just passed away and he was somber without saying much but I could tell he was devastated. He told me that he would go home saying something in the house and feel odd that there is no response from her since she was gone. The house was just too quiet. It's little things like that are heartbreaking.

Another gentleman I know who was married for many decades lost his wife. He said that he would drive around and remember places that he used to take his wife to and finally at one moment, he broke down in tears. I actually remember meeting his wife and she had a unique personality and nobody can replace her. There is no one that is like that individual and it is a tragedy when the person is gone. Everybody is unique.

My deepest condolences. But there is always a tomorrow and new energy. Time passes and you will smile again.

A strange coincidence today:

I was at work and a guy that I know but haven't seen in a while told me that his wife passed away 3 months ago. It was very sad indeed because I think she was in her 40s. He told me that it does suck and I felt bad for him, needless to say. But still, it is shocking when things like these happen.
