I just bought a 37" lcd screen for my bedroom. I need some simple speakers in the sub $300 region that I can use as an alternative to the built in TV speakers. I already have a pair of Joey Roth ceramic speakers that I use for my computer sound and my record player. I'd like something seperate for my TV that I can control with my remote.
Are self powered speakers (like monitor-type speakers) the way to go? A big issue for me would be size. I'd like some pretty small simple speakers that will pack a punch and give me better sound than what will come out of the TV. Thanks for any help.
Perhaps a stereo amp, bookshelf speakers and a 8-10" sub? If active speakers u can start looking a higher end 2.1 sets like Edifier S530, Swan M50W and Microlab H200
