I'm wondering if anyone has experience with this and in paticular with the grado cable? Is there an easy way to disassemble the jack to fix it. Or do I have to buy a new cable?
Thanks in advance and sorry if this is the wrong forum.
You're sure it's not the jack on your equipment right??
After you've settled that, go to Double Helix Cables, order their 1/4" plug (6 dollars w/ shipping) it's one of the few plugs with enough clearance for the 8-conductor cable I think...
You can reterminate your cable and Grado will still honor servicing the headphones if anything ever goes wrong down the line.
And no, after the dozen or so Grado headphones I've owned, I've never had a defective one out of the box or any weird cable issues, even on my possibly 6-7 year old SR-60 with the original leather headband.
