Inexpensive portable DIY amp

I am looking into making a DIY headphone amp. I would definitely want it to be portable and not very expensive either. I was thinking of something better than Cmoy like a mini3 vs or pimeta v2. These are just a few that i have come up with after the little research that I did.

 

I would be using them with srh-440 as well as a set of inexpensive IEMs which I will by soon and any other future headphone upgrades.

 

I also think that I will be doing the Imod to my ipod photo pretty soon.

I was thinking I was going to go for the mini3 v2 but after reading some of the criticism I am not sure. The O2 is too large for my application, but if it really is just amazing I would consider it.

 

What amp should I pick?
