Hi,

 

yesterday I've bought a Sennheiser HD 25-1 II with a 2 m cable. This is quite long for mobile use and as I've neither found cheap replacement cables nor plugs to build my own cable I'm wondering if I should just cut the original cable after about 30 cm and add a an additional 3.5 mm jack there. So I could simply apply different cables for home and mobile use.

 

I just don't know if:

* the connection of the 3.5 mm jack will be strong enough

* the connector is a bit to heavy when it's pending on the headphone

 

What would you suggest?
