It's funny how reviewers just take for granted the sound quality just because HTC marketing states so (Without providing hard data on the issue).
Sadly as of today in the sound area the iPhone delivers (specially with armature iems) much more than the competition.
I asked HTC a few weeks back about the output impedance of their handsets and they replied that they just did not know. And Beats is not a brand that i trust like Shure or Westone. It's all image with too little substance. So that joint venture HTC + Beats does not smell very good.
The beats audio software is known for sabotaging the bass when turned off on the HP laptops. In the stock form these will however, sound better than the ibuds + iPhone. You have to think of it in the consumer's shoes. They think of the beats as the best brand. This will obviously lead the consumers to think more. I hope you understood my point, I'm too tired now and my speech is not exact perfect anymore, I think I'll go to sleep now. Good night.
