Any Word on New Sennheiser IEMs?

Howdy,

 

Just wondering if anyone has heard about any new developments in the IEM category from Sennheiser. I had/liked the IE8s but sold them to another Head-Fi member some time back. I really like Sennheiser products in general and was wondering if they had any plans for another flagship IEM.

They are releasing a new version of the IE8, the IE80. Not sure yet how much the sound has been tweaked. Won't be released till late October-early November. http://www.sennheiser.com/sennheiser/home_en.nsf/root/private_headphones_mp3_portable_504771 I think the general feeling is that they won't be changed much although personally I'd be happy if they "lifted the veil" some.

Agreed... that's why I sold them in the first place even though I enjoyed listening to them quite a bit. Thanks so much for the info!
