Help me configure the following...

Hi all,

 

Thanks for reading this post and taking a few moments to tell me what the best configuration is.

 

I can get my hands on whatever cables you suggest...

 

Source: Asus Xonar STX

Xonar Essence STX_1.jpg

 

Headphones: Ultrasone Pro900

Speakers: M-Audio BX5a Deluxe

Subwoofer: Velodyne VX-11

Headphone Amp: FiiO E9

I am currently running a RCA Y-Splitter going from the STX line-out going to the speakers and the subwoofer. My headphones going to the headphone plug on the STX.

 

 

I want to use the headphone amp but I am afraid of losing quality using a 3-way splitter. I also know that it is a bad idea to connect the amp to the headphone plug on the STX.

Can you return the E9? that thing is overkill for the pro900 the soundcard should be enough.

True, I have also grown fond of the Dolby headphone feature of the STX. Maybe I should sell the E9.
