Thanks

Good point and I guess the Hifiman is just more languid by signature. The LCD2 is faster, I've always thought that it had better speed. :) Theyre both easy to drive for planars but I noticed the HE500 performed better with a little more power however.

While I had them both The HE500 and LCD2 I fired them with Violectric HPA V200 that has 2,7W at 50 Ohms, and the LCD2 sounded languid in comparison so HE500 won.

The overall sound is wonderfully natural and has worked well with everything I've thrown at it, including my own trance productions. Just for curiosities sake I'm gonna start a track using them tomorrow and see what the result is :-)

So I checked out your music (being a huge trance fan), and I must say I really enjoyed it. There isn't a lot of it to see though. Are you still producing new work?

Selling my LCD2 if anyone is interested.

Gotta recover the cost of another impulse purchase.

Foam by a MILE. I don't find the leather comfy. The foam makes the headband basically non-existent. Even better than the vegan headband.

Negura: Kingsound Emperor electrostatic pre-order off Moon Audio.

True. Despite my urge to really sell off both my HD800's and LCD2's I'm keeping the latter one for now as I know I won't be able to buy another LCD2 for the price I purchased them for. Ever.

Any chance you're going to sell the AHA 120?

It can drive the LCD's but I feel it might be a bit too analytical. I'm currently using an XM6 to drive them and it does a good job. It's not as transparent as the Quickstep but it's smoother and more musical.

Get a vintage speaker amp, give the LCD2's some powa.
