If you don't care about the sound/cable stufff, buy some paracord (5 bucks for 500 feet) + borrow a solder iron (free) and sleeve the stock cable yourself biggrin.gif  (1-2 hours)

No DIY, looking at headphone lounge now. Thanks. I'll bookmark this for the future.

I got the Qcable from a Head-fi'er. Definitely recommend that.

That site is confusing. No prices... lol.

I basically want a nice 8-10ft cable that will at least attempt to add a little warmth (smoothen treble), and look nice. I assume copper. Also... nothing outrageously expensive. I saw some nice ones for less than $200. I'm not a believer of cable-fi, but I do know that cables do have a very miniscule SQ difference here and there, which I've noticed with extension cables of different types.

I like the ones where I can seen the copper braiding.

Charleston Audio was recommended to me on this thread and I'm pleased with the results.

OOps..should have included the "disclaimer" re not having any financial interest, got no freebies from that company!! Folks around here been real helpful as I've been reading and soaking up all the good information.

I used CharlestonCableCompany waaay back when he didn't have a site. He only operated via eBay. Haha.

Christopher was very accommodating and made me a decent Cardas cable.

I've not yet compared for SQ - so far I only know I love the look, feel, length, and weight of the DHC cable.

I'll post again after swapping-in the stock cable for a trial.

MLE, have you tried Q-cable ? Very good cable. Using it on the LCD 2.2 and to my ears there is a step-up from stock definitely, mostly wider sound stage.

Interesting. Might have to check this fellow out. His cables any good compared to the companies out there these days?

On a completely different note -- Hotel California (live version) played through Amarra Hifi -->Bifrost --> Asgard 1 -->LCD 2.2 = HeavenL3000.gif
