Welcome back. Yeah haven't heard the 3's but to be honest for the price and from what I've read, they do seem a little "All fur coat and no knickers" biggrin.gif

We've been demoted to mid-fi? But how can I listen to my $1000 headphones with my pinky out now? biggrin.gif

Looks like I'll have to buy that Zebrano wood stainer after all.

Well I'm keeping my pinky out! At least until I get told to put it back in. (Got arrested last time..suppose I was on the train rolleyes.gif)

It's all that Japanese kabuki music you listen to, I've told you about this before bro, you're scaring the kids!

I might retract the pinky but nobody is making me take off this monocle, my wife paid for it and I'm going to use it biggrin.gif Any complaints and I'll forward them to the Head-fi Holiday Buying Guide which still lists LCD-2 as Summit-fi.

Good for you bro!

and this is for the administrators ;)

CREATOR: gd-jpeg v1.0 (using IJG JPEG v62), quality = 80

They should just rename summit-fi "Flagships&'stats-fi" instead, at this rate. No non-flagships allowed, not even past flagships, unless it happens to have electrostatic or other exotic tranducer types.blink.gif

Yes and no.  I have it but the cable needed hasn't arrived yet.  It's more of an experiment and fully expect to sell it very soon ;)

Nelson confirmed my F1J will ship on Monday.  I can't wait.  I got the m51 DAC to act as the preamp.  It has better digital volume when compared to the PWD2.  I'll see for myself.

Nods the M51 can play very low without dropping bits.  Course the counter is that at low dB levels... can you even hear the difference?

Prep be prepared to turn off the furnace.  The FW makes the B22 feel down right frigid :D

Yep, I know..  the bad thing is I don't think I can stack the m51 or the PWD2 on top of it..

Well, finally gave up on the headband loosening from use and went ahead and flattened it out a bit. Definitely helps the clamping force.

Dude they can't be within 6" of it!  Even the bottom and front get 'don't touch' hot.

Solude, does that mean this amp is biased to your liking... Class A and beyond? tongue.gif

Almost ;)

I little beyond reason for something within arms reach.  Wonder if Pass would drop it down to something manageable like 1A.

You don't need arms in the audio realm your heading to, just ears smily_headphones1.gif  Plus, "arm burn-in" may be the next big thing on HF.

I look forward to your impressions, especially of the HD800's.
