I've tried The Green from ALO.

It gave me mixed feelings.

 

Compared to the stock cable, it was more detailed and cleaned.

Vocal is so sweet and lush.

But in the expense of bass section.

Don't get it wrong. It still has the bass and even it presented in details, just nice.

But to me it lacks the power and kick. Less "uummpphhhhh" compared to the stock cable.

 

If you can stand the lack of bass kick, than you might consider to put this cable as one of your options.

I just ordered new Q-Cable Silks in RED.  I should have them soon and post up my impressions.  BTW-way cool looking!

You could do the same thing I did but red. Put some red felt/silk behind your grills. Sexy.

Nope. Pull the black felt and replace it. It's not glued down or anything. The regular stuff is slightly thicker but didn't affect the sound to my ears.

Great.. that means I'm now going to be rummaging through me wifes knicker draw trying to find em red silk numbers I bought her for valentines day... (about 10 year ago..) biggrin.gif

No joke but I really want to paint the cover a shiny red like the Vitus amps or a KEF Blade.  Talked with W4S about it last year and they were a no go.  I'd have to buy a new cover and send it out.  One day when I have a few extra $$ I'll do that(no comment please for those who've already stated I'll never do it!!)
