Plasma speakers and nitric oxide

Hey,

I was thinking about making a 5.1 speaker system with one plasma tweeter but I heard that they release nitric oxide. So my question is, if I made the plasma speaker in an enclosure and put a thin air filter over the open side would I be protected from this hazardous chemical.

-Thanks in advance

I'm not sure about the nitric oxide, but they do produce ozone.

Also, they eat the contacts after a few hundred hours. I found them very interesting, but the ozone and high maintenance put me off. I'd rather have ribbons.

Alright, maybe I'll just do some experimenting with ribbons instead. Thanks for your help
