Curious if they discontinued the whipmod or if they're out of stock? Nowhere to be found on the website. Unless they're coming out with a new version or something. Sent an email but haven't got a response yet.

This is a review of a pair of free IEM's I recieved from DUNU as part of a give away contest they recently held here on Head-fi. When I recieved my package the first thing I notices was...

Best closed headphones I had heard - very flat response, almost no midrange distortion, very easy to drive (good for portable), good soundstage (definately better than K240), good isolation, but...

Overall excellent buds, very good sound quality, especially for their price, the medium set of tips fits exactly in my ears and provides a near perfect seal. Bass is very detailed, but not...

I'll keep this very short. They are very smooth sounding. Treble toned down so not so good for rock but have a magic about them that makes them better than mark 2. I use them with a '89/'90...

Not surprising to me. I know they had supplier problems awhile back and several folk on the Whiplash forum here were complaining aboutlong lead times. Guess you gotta go with ALO's $700+ iMod on their website. Or send Vinnie at Redwine an older iPod to customize into the iMod.
Personally, I love my iMod so that may be the best route. You can find a 5 or 5.5 g iPod at ebay, get a bigger hardrive and send the whole shootin' match to Vinnie for him to install then do the iMod thing.

they (imod/whipmod) are based on the 5.5g, clas only supports later models, so no it doesnt. has nothing to do with the mod, just the hardware and os isnt supported. its pretty clearly stated in the alo product pages

I guess i really wouldn't need an Imod or Whipmod if I'm getting the CLAS. From what I've been gathering with all the reading I've been doing.

yeah the benefits are pointless when used with CLAS anyway even if it did work.
