Hey everyone, apologies in advanced for the rather rudimentary post. I just recently came across this community while doing some shopping and noticed that you guys have an incredible wealth of information to offer. I was hoping I could get a couple opinions.
I just decided to purchase a pair of Denon AH-D5000's. Up to this point I have been powering all of my headphones with a Mackie "Big Knob" tabletop unit: http://www.mackie.com/products/bigknob/. My primary concern is whether this system will properly amplify the D5000's so that there is no distortion or coloration of the spectrum. I see that the D5000's have an input impedance of 25ohms, but I am unsure how this information can be used to match these with an appropriate amp. I've seen threads about impedance matching between your amp and cans, but I have no idea how to practically apply this information. This was pulled straight from the Big Knob spec sheet, if this helps at all:
Would really appreciate any assistance here.
