Rediscovering old headphones -- the gift that keeps on giving!

I'm glad I'm so lazy about throwing old stuff away. Recently I've been dealing with some TMJ issues, so I needed a much more relaxed fit than my trusty HD280 Pro could provide. (You can imagine what those things were doing to my jaw hinge....) I put on my old HD590s that I'd been neglecting for a couple of years and of course they feel light as air, but I was also happy to reacquaint myself with their soundstage and detail. But then I figured I still needed closed phones for noisier times -- so I dug into another box and rescued my old Sony V6, which had no pleather left on the pads but still sounded recognizably like themselves and are comfortable enough. I've been away from both of these guys so long, it's like having two new headphones.

Gotta love that "Why, hello again!" feeling....

You can always get new pads for the V6 :)

If I do, they'll be the velour Beyer pads. Till then, the fabric on the V6 pads actually feels comfy enough at the moment.
