The TV Thread (What's on your television?)

A general thread about what you've been seeing on TV lately.

Like a "rate the last movie you watched" for films or like "what are you currently listening to?" for music.

I think this is an opportune time since the summer season is ending and the fall season for programs is starting.

Me, I'm watching a ton of shows, the best of which is currently Breaking Bad. Other good stuff I watch:

The Big C
Person of Interest
Awkward
Modern Family
Community

and some quality reality shows.

Then there are also a lot of "meh" shows to pass the time.

What's been going on in the shows you guys have been watching right now?

I don't watch TV. That's what YouTube's for.

There are quality reality shows? eek.gif

I've just been pacing ever since I heard they're bringing arrested development back...

Really unsure how I feel about that.

Eh... I limit mine to Top Chef, Project Runway and Dancing with the Stars.

The wife also watches America's Next Top Model and I go along with it even if I can't stand Tyra Banks.

Cash in the Attic, all of Gordon Ramsey's shows...

Favorite reality show right now? 30 Days. Amazing show. The first episode is pretty rough to watch to be honest as it hits home for a lot of people.

If you live in a gay friendly household...give RuPaul's Drag Race a shot. My finacee loved it, and I never wanted to watch it...but she made me watch an episode and I sad (and happy) to say I enjoyed it quite a bit.

Oh, and if you're into sci-fi...Watch Sanctuary. It's a really, really good show.

There's a new show on the BBC called Fresh Meat.  Its very Gervais-esque.

I used to watch Hell's Kitchen, but as I saw more episodes, it was evident that it was more and more about cheap entertainment (drama between the contestants, Gordon Ramsey yelling at them) than actual cooking (which was the same food over and over again)... so I dropped it and stuck with Top Chef, which is a really really good reality cooking competition.

I tried watching Sanctuary before but dropped it. It wasn't able to hold my interest for some reason. Not really big on sci-fi though. My favorite sci-fi is the type that isn't really sci-fi, but happens to be in a sci-fi setting... like Battlestar Galactica for example. One of the best shows ever.

Very good show indeed. Let me rephrase the Ramsey suggestion. Forget Hell's Kitchen. I feel the same way you do about it. Watch some of his other stuff like 'Kitchen Nightmare's UK' and 'Ramsey's Best Restaurant'. Still some tension from him yelling and cursing (the fun stuff), but still about the cooking. They're the better shows, IMO.

Really enjoying Suburgatory. Glad to see a good new newtork comedy, especially one without a laugh track.

I called the arizona matchbook company.

" Hello, do you want to place an order?"

 I had to think quick.

"yes."
