There are certain risks when updating firmware, which applies to every hardware/player. My Chinese friend personally knew 2 people bricked their Studio. If you don't have a local dealer, when anything goes wrong, it's more headache than usual.

Maybe, when it is not broken, don't fix it ?

another firmware is for BA driver, for HD558 u should use dynamic firmware.
