Sound Drops in Either Earbud on Slight Movement

I have some Sennheiser 600 that have fallen off the table onto the floor a few times. This *may* be the cause of the problem, and it may not.

The problem is that sound in one bud drops, when I move my head or the cords too much. Trying to move my head and the cords back and forth makes me feel like someone trying to adjust the antenna on an old TV to catch the radio channel.

I don't want to buy a new set of cans, when this is only around a year old, so I pray that there is some way I can repair them. Otherwise I'm boned, because this is obviously not viable at all, and these headphones aren't cheap.

Is this a known issue: what causes it, and what can be done about it?

I guess I can check if the Sennheiser warranty covers this, but I am basically in the dark on this.

Thanks, guys.

Heya,

I had that issue a few years ago. It was the cable for me.

Very best,

You're a saint.

Do you have a link for Amazon.co.uk for someone in Europe? I guess a .de and .fr link would work just as well. Even the .us link doesn't work: "We are not able to ship this item to your default shipping address".

How does the replacement work? Do I just pull them as hard as I can, or does it take some slyness?

Heya,

You're closer to where they come from, so I imagine it's available on Sennheiser's website actually, if not other retailers.

The replacement is easy. Your cable is detachable. I guess you've never taken it out. Just grip the buds and pull slowly until they come out. They're just plugs basically. The new one just pushes in the same way.

Hopefully it's just your cable. Either way, it's an inexpensive way to find out instead of opening your headphone up and potentially messing it up more and then needing to have it repaired or something, lol.

Very best,
