How do I take care of a pair of IEM's?

I recently bought a pair of Vsonic GR07's these are my first pair of relatively high end headphones. I was wondering what the process for taking care of these headphones would be. I understand I should clean my ears, clean the tips, but how should I store the headphones? Any information is appreciated.

Carefully wrap them up/avoid putting any stress on the cables while doing so, and put them in a safe pouch. :P

Take the cable out from the earbuds, wrap them up with the 3-finger method, put them in a case, clean them, and get new foamies every month.
