I was visiting Audeze on FB and it looks like Audeze might be introducing a new product at CanJam. (and I hope its not the Microphone only )

Jørgen Haseth Laukholm Buy a LCD-2 rev2, or wait? I would hate to see a new high-end headphone announced 2 weeks after placing an order of a LCD-2.

And according to some postings Audeze has no inventory. Kind of smells like a new version coming. Any thoughts what could the new version be?

Hm. Sounds like Audez'e is taking the Apple approach (aka low on stock prior to releasing a new model).

 

Is this the AudezeRumor Channel?

It took them years to roll out the LCD-2 so don't expect a brand new headphone.

I would be happy if they released a lighter version or a close backed version of the LCD-2.  Even better the LCD-3 with the ergonomics, weight, and soundstage of the HD800.

Im pretty sure we won't be seeing a new headphone just yet, its far too close to the launch of their rev2s. There's definietly gonna be the Spitfire microphone. Apart from that, if there is going to be another new product, I believe its probably going to be studio monitors.

I don't think soundstage like that is possible with an orthodynamic driver because you can't just suspend them in air like the HD800 does, the backwave would cancel out all the bass.  Also if you want a large driver, it takes heavy magnets.  Audeze may be a great company, but they're not miracle workers...  If that's what you want you should be waiting for the HD850 wink.gif

Dealers and Audeze have no stock. Talked to Audeze a few minutes ago and they were very evasive on their plans for introducing new HP products and/or changes to the LCD-2 . Smells like something is in the works and there should be something major at CanJam.

I predict the next Audeze headphone will put their ortho driver in an enclosure similar to the Stax SR-Sigma.  And somehow manage to do that without making the thing look ridiculous.  ;)

I would say definitely yes. It's been confirmed above via Sachu's post. And I would say it has be something in the headphones category too.

If LCD-2's are out of stock, an update is on the way. Hopefully on the same price range.
