I have a vintage passive sub. The passive built in crossover is not working. I need a 2.1 amp for my sub and 2 speakers which has good high pass and low pass controls. The reason i don't need a receiver is that i will be using this system only for music, and i already have a Zero DAC that i want to use with the amp.
I have three options.
Keep in mind that both the speakers and the sub have speaker wire outputs.
1. Get a Amplifier with a built in active crossover.
2. Get an Amplifier, and a separate active crossover.
3. Get a receiver. Not the best option, but might be the best cost/quality ratio.
My Budget is around 250 for everything, and I'm open to buying used equipment via ebay/audiogon.
