First of all, I rarely come to head-fi, so I am relatively new around here.
Head fi has also helped me donate $138 to Audio Technica with ATH CKS77.
Now, I want to buy a pair of good headphones for mids.
I have narrowed down to these choices. Which one is best for mids and treble. Bass isn't the highest priority because my in ear(audio tech) is really powerful enough. I wanted to buy treble headphones because I got sick of bass and I listen to classical music a lot.
Price is the biggest concern here. Price in the US is really low. But here in Singapore its ridiculously high..
. ATH M50 cost $238 and Bose AE2 cost $229 (www.stereo.com.sg)
I know that BOSE is generally disliked around here. I don't really mind paying for brand and comfort. I heard that the AE2's treble is good while the ATH M50 is recessed. I chose the M50 because its highly recommended around here and my friend has it. I would try to avoid choosing the option of the ATH M50 because I dont really want to get the same thing as my friend.
For portability, its just a minor concern. I usually use my headphones at home.
Some one please help me shed some light on these two headphones as I can't seem to choose between the two
Priorities:
1)Sound (mids and treble)
2)Price(I am poor :( )
3)Convenience
How do their mids compare?
