My friend in college had the SR80s while I had MS1s. Honestly I would be equally happy with either although my personal vote goes to the MS1s since it gives you the option of going for the MS1000s.

I bought a Jaben MS1000 kit and use it for my SR80. you can pretty much do it to all SR series

I always figured you could only do it with the MS1s or Pros to get a good result. At least that's what the actual forum thread here seems to indicate. Then again, never personally attempted this myself with anything aside from the MS1s.

Where did you buy the MS1i's from? I've been interested in Grado headphones for a long time and since I live in Canada, I'd love to try out the MS1i cans for myself for only 100 bux.

While I'm at it, here are the headphones I've owned, in order of preference:

1. Alessandro MS1i
2. Grado SR80i
3. Koss Pro AAA
4. Bose IE2
5. Klipsch S4
6. Sennheiser PX100

Completely off-topic:
Glad to see the 4AAA on the list.

Might I suggest some mods? By changing a few things, I was able to fix most of my gripes about the 4AAA and make them sound even better.

Edit: Eh crap, old topic. Oh well.
