I will bring the audio research CD3 MK2

I'm out :(

I'm looking for lots of impressions of the NFB-10SE and Lyr, and anything else for a somewhat sensible amount of money that can drive HE-5LE's. I see another set are going, so hopefully someone will put these things together for me and tell us what they think!

PS, what's this about a Spring meet? is their another big one like this in NYC or some such?

Hate to be a bother, but anybody bringing a balanced source?

I received a brand new LCD-3. It is going to the show, of course. Compared to the LCD-2, it is a true step-up in terms of build and sound quality.

Cheers,
Jack

Thanks, gentlemen!  I'll bring a pair of XLR interconnects.

My T1S amp has balanced inputs, but I'm bringing a single ended source.

clarification:  amp has both balanced and single ended inputs, so while my source is single ended, a 2nd (balanced) source could

be plugged into my amp

i have some great news! i've been in touch with Jerry Harvey & Dr. Beth Orliss (for those who are unfamiliar with her, she's an audiologist and Jerry Harvey considers her to be one of the two best folks in the business for making custom ear mold impressions (http://www.head-fi.org/t/440466/the-audiologists-impressions-thread-pun-most-definitely-intended) she's also very nice as well as a true professional). Beth not only will be able to make impressions for those interested in getting custom iems made, but she's an authorized rep for both JH Audio and Westone so you could place orders for their products from her (i believe that if you order from her she includes the impressions at no extra cost).

Jerry is shipping up a demo JH3a unit to her for the show and she will be bringing some universal demos of other JHA custom iems along to show. please note that she is an audiologist and not a headphone geek, so save the techie questions for Jerry. also, it'd be very beneficial if someone could lend a high quality source, such as a computer with hi-rez audio files to demo the JH3a.

Jerry did say that if anyone wants to change sources that the unit should be switched off before plugging and unplugging things into it, else it's liable to freeze up and need to be rebooted, so please be very careful if you feel it essential to make a source change.

Dave, the source for the JH3a has been arranged.

I will be needing a headphone amp to connect the Thunderpants to if anyone wants to host them for the meet.

I'm still 50/50.

If I can make it that morning I'm bringing the following:

-- Schiit Asgard

-- Pro 750

-- Dr. DAC Nano (with laptop)

-- iBasso D6

-- Denon AH-C710 for a couple of people who requested it.

I used Dr. Beth Orliss for my molds and they came out perfect the first time.  I didn't have to send back my IEMs ever for a re-fit.  She did an excellent job.  If you are coming to the show and need impression don't skip out on letting her make them for you!

what kind of amp makes the TP happy? would a gilmore lite or a heed can amp do the trick?
