These things are wicked!

I think that's probably going to be my next headphone upgrade after the Q40 if I decide not to pursue another pair of cans that the Alpha Pads fit on :o

They're stupid bassy (not boomy). I really, really like them. And the ear pads are godly - miles better than anything I've ever used. In fact, they feel softer than Bowers and Wilkins P5 (which I own a pair of).

Gah, they seem really attractive now, with the reports of the slightly recessed treble and emphasized bass that I've been reading.

Someone that said they're recessed it treble has bad hearing. I find them to be quite trebley.

I can't compare them to the M100, but from people have said these are better. They're so energetic. Tracks from the likes of Deadmau5 sound electric! It's like they're alive, then you've got the bass hitting the side of your head.

I got them for 210 GBP + 7 for 1 day delivery (90 GBP below RRP and they were cheaper than the HD7 they had on their site; miss price I think but I got them!).

Mr rock, is that a gaming keyboard ya got there?... Plus, deadmau5??? Really?... He's ok, but, again, like skrillex, you will find MUCH better artists if you look for a few hours.

Finally got a new cord.. After I broke the first 2 by some feat of wizard magic... They just stopped working properly, and I even made sure that they weren't bent to breaking angles... This cord feels a bit sturdier, and is about a foot long... So more useful than the FiiO stock cable, but not a burden like the 5 foot cable I was carrying around. Its straight plugged too so I'm happy.

Better is subjective - I like the songs that Deadmau5 produces, doesn't mean I like all of his stuff. I also like some of Skrillex's stuff. Doesn't mean I like all of it, nor does it mean every one else does.

It's not technically a gaming keyboard, it's mechanical with MX Blues, so more typing. Backlit because it's always bloody dark here in the UK and since electric is so expensive, all the lights need to be off 24/7 so I can pay the bills

Any suggestions? I don't have a few hours on my hands atm :o

Home made fun. It's just cheap speaker wire that my girlfriend braided for me, and I soldered a Canare onto the end.

Photos taken at my GFs house with a phone.. haha

I am eager to get home again!^for my hd 8s that are waiting

I always sell my headphones after feeling em out. Even if I REALLY like em just to try others and also because none of them are fully circumaural or if they are they don't isolate we'll or they are not portable or the bass sucks. These are the most promising todate and when I get home I will do an out of the box bass report.

Has anyone heard the WS99? Apparently they're a pretty good pair of basshead cans.

Well, someone probably has... "Basshead Club", and all. Although if no one has heard of them, which I certainly haven't (nor do I have money to buy them smily_headphones1.gif) then maybe one of us should do a few tests on em. Plus a few good artists... Moxix, Omnitica, Masamune (Look up dance of swords by Masamune... He is a very tough artist to find unless you type that exact song in.), Modestep (quite popular by my understanding in the U.K... No one has heard of them here in the U.S. Though) Subvibe... And me! DisCHORDDubstep!!!!

Had them for three days.

Sold them.

That tell you how I liked them?

Was not impressed with the bass either.

Lol. The ws99's reviews by true basshead/audiophiles were all 2-3 stars on amazon... The bass was muddled and not very well defined. The best part about them, according to the reviewers were the mids and highs... But the problem was that they were almost not there because of the bass.

They're somewhat dark. Mids are sweet, treble has a nice sparkle and the bass is "solid"; though the quantity probably isn't enough for most bassheads. It's an interesting sound sig- very enjoyable but maybe not what you're looking for.
