It's in his bio. The question was directed at him like the post. 9 sentences about audio and I snuck in 1 OT question...I could PM'd that but I already typed a comment in the open browser so...

LOL, don't worry. I'm a fan of MMA myself, so I was magnetically drawn to that particular line.

We are a subset in this club. Me,you and the guy I asked the question...kinda surprised so many combat sports lovers are audiophiles

I'm off to watch today's fight:popcorn:

I'm not surprised at all - the beauty od brutal bass sound is almost the same as the beauty of brutal mixed martial arts :)

MMA FTW!

LOL....My nickname was "Thumper" when I was a kid boxing...then it became my cars license plate.... for Bass....same name different reasons.:D

Regarding music.....

My settings are the light purple mach3bass +8 which looks like +6.5 born around 25Hz and deceased around 200.

LEAD Technologies Inc. V1.01

The bass switch on the e12 which i hated but have grown to love is born in the inaudible range and peaks around 50Hz?

The Cowon itself couldn't get me my lowest hits but the amp switch does. I already knew by ear it made a big difference but it is THE reason I can hear as low as the cans will go. These 2 combined might not look beautiful on a chart but they make for some deep deep bass. I don't touch the 5 band eq because the amp switch and mach3bass do it for me. If anyone hears cans differently than me or thinks my opinions are different it is because these are my default settings for all cans.

Love the e12. Love they put that one switch bumping right there.

" i know you probably hate Skrillex, but just listen to that song."  Hate? No way...might like it. I was raised on Pink Floyd Fleetwood Mac and  Vivaldi, Verdi and Tchiakovsky by my Mom.biggrin.gif
I grew into Hip Hop as it disturbed the peace and had a competitive branch where I could have audio pissing contests with others...all measured and sanctioned of course. SPL,dB, Sound Clarity.
One of the Bass tests was by Radiohead https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RU8slEG-OtM..."Packt like sardines in a Crushd tin Box"...Tha fuuuuu:confused: ....they wanted it for Bass response and SPL testing and I watched my subs almost fail at the rapid speed and tonal curves on that insane track. I'm not A radiohead fan but I am a believer wink.gif

I already know about the 70mm...I wanted the big drivers but like you said it doesn't deliver the imagined result. 50mm seems the sweet spot but that doesn't mean any more than my ears and mind playing with me. I appreciate you taking the time. Thanks. I will most certainly take the time make the time to listen to these!!

BTW I train MMA in Hawaii and Japan. Got some friends in the UFC. You fighting actively?
smily_headphones1.gif No problem man, if you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask.
Haha nice to see open minded people like you listening to a variety of genres without being judgmental.
Ooh Radiohead, I remember those guys. Always wanted to see them live, too bad that never happening frown.gif
Glad to help, hope you like them. Don't forget to tell us if you like them or not here tongue.gif

Yup, started out in BJJ 3 years ago at a really good academy, then moved to Boxing at a nearby Boxing gym.. Even though I prefer Boxing, I think both martial arts are equally effective in real life situations. Anyway, my Bjj academy (which I haven't been to in forever) is still really active. They had Royce and Royler Gracie training with them a couple of days ago. I don't think I'll be going back to Bjj any time soon, I find myself to enjoying boxing much more.

Right in the midbass. On a pro 900 that would be what, 20db of midbass?

Yeah   That's a great BASS hit. :L3000:Sounds like it's born around 45 peaks at 80 dies around 120Hz. Perfect for almost any pair of cans if your just comparing it's ability to hit hard. Not the deepest hit but one of the hardest which is a big deal for me.

I like "Pass the mic" type songs with multiple artists going over a beat. This one has Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross and the Game. 4 different flows over a hard beat. love it. Most of my fave's are this type. Listen to this loud to the end must be similar to putting your head in a box and having somebody slam it with a tennis racket every 3 seconds....lol...this hit is much cleaner but it leaves ya ears ringing!
