Spotify users (Windows): Your easy-to-install basic EQ is here.

How is Spotify and what is the max bit rate streaming on there? I usually just download lossless files 24/44KHz and up.

Or in game on the ps3... Well you'll likely not have seen me Before, but Incase you did, I'm the same person.
Psn is Annokill ( what a shock! 😱 ) i play mw2/3 and Counterstrike Global Offensive ( CS:GO )
Don't hesitate to add me

Okay so i introduced myself... Well yeah I Also like music A LOT but if I did not I wouldn't be here, right?

So i need help...

Im searching for a closed headphone... Open is a no go,
People I live with don't need to be bothered with my music and I also like closed over open.

The real question though, is Wich headphone is the best to listen hardstyle with?

I mean, I've read Many Many Many reviews about the m50 and just about when I thought, hey Lets order it, I read a Guy's comment saying they lack bass... So hardstyle you can already tell im a basshead. But i want a solid punchy bass ( like the beats pro ) and a clear overall sound. Like treble and mids.

I was thinking about the beats pro, yeah overpriced indeed, but I have a serious demand of stylishness.

The real question remains, Wich headphones do have the same amount / quality ( and preferable better quality ) than the pro's?

- Annokill

( Max price is about 300euros, eg 500dollars )

well as rpg has already mentioned the obvious choice for the q40, i guess ill mention the obvious choice of the m-100. im not such a hardstyle fan, but i listen to all sorts of electronic music and the m-100 is great for all that. it also fits the bill for your "demand of stylishness". sounds great without an amp and is still within your budget. you can also style your own custom shields for the cups, and get the XL pads for extra comfort - and youd still be within budget. i suggest you read some reviews of both, and check out their own threads

Hey bassheads, i found a pretty awesome eq ap for the mac called Hear. Its presets are pretty horrible, but the eq can turn out some SERIOUS bass. Its not free but it has a month demo :3

Edit: Only if all you want to hear is bass... thought if i eqed down instead it would work better, and it did except it made everything else sound muffled. Nvm >:(

Thanks a lot you both! I Will check them out! But are they significantly better than the beats pro?

I wouldn't call the m100, q40 or beats especially stylish. But that's really just as subjective as sonic preferences goes. V-modas look like a goth accessory, so if you find Ozzy good looking and are a fan of the Twilight movies, I suppose they are for you. You get bonus points if you're a male wearing eyeliner and black lipstick. The beats look they were designed by Fred Durst in the nineties in collaboration with MTV.

Actually, most headphones are ugly as hell imo. The d2000 is somewhat good looking, especially with wood backs, but those are as far from portable as headphones go. The ed 8 are passable too. The ugliest imo are v-modas though. I could wear them indoors among people I trust, but as far outdoors goes, no way.

Sounds amazing with Ultrasone Pro 900. Some nice deep bass.

ehh, HE 4 no like Streaming lossy files...

I'm sure the D2k would have loved it though, it's still out for Mods

Oh yea, I got an HE 4, yay! I've got all the speed and body of the HE 400 with the Mids of the DT 880, perfecto!

My D2k is out for a recable, a rebalance and some LawtonPads+mods

I managed to find a sweet deal on some near-mint DT770 600 ohm Premiums (discontinued)

320 OGG streaming for premium - absolutely no complaints from me, even on my most resolving setups.

I'm not going to give my impressions now, I haven't listened to them enough to find differences between the pads yet. I'm going to put the velours on for a week or so and then put the Alphas back on. I'll update you with the sound change then.

These are definitely closer to a balanced headphone than anything. Nothing is really emphasized, although I almost think the mids are but that's only because I'm coming from a D2K where the mids are recessed quite a bit.

disagree completely. maybe the other colourways (which i don't particularly like either), but i have the matte black M-100, and i think they look fantastic. i have only ever received compliments about how they look (by many different people, with very varied senses of fashion...none of which being anywhere even remotely goth related).

NB: i don't find ozzy good looking, i'm not a fan of the twilight movies, and i am male but don't wear eyeliner or lipstick of any kind. same goes for every single person that has complimented the looks of my M-100 (except the male part...some were female).

Any suggestions for a good under-$200 pair of warm-ish bassy IEMs with slightly recessed treble to pair with the Clip Zip? I want to have a budget rig to bring to school where I dont have to worry about it getting stolen.

My currrent choices are:
RHA MA750
SE 215
Fidelio S2
