how do the C300 compare to atrios? particularly in the sub-bass department?

Bassheads,

It looks like I came in with my question at the right ime as it looks like the last page has been about IEMs....

about 6 months ago I asked you guys about good IEMs that thumped and you recommended the HA-FXZ 200s to me. I purchased them anf fell in love. I have literally used full sized cans only for music production since then. I love these IEMs. Well after 6 months or so of use they are getting pretty beat up so I was considering purchasing a new pair. Then I figured I would come in here and see if there was anything new buzzing around.

so it seems like all the talk right now with bassy IEMs is with the AH-C300s. How do these compare to the FXZ200s?

I dont eant anything with less bass but I dont want to loose any clarity on the mids and highs.

Should I stick with a second pair of FXZ200s or is there something else you think I should give a try?

Budget around $300.

Thanks bassheads!

(Sorry for any grammatical errors, posted from my phone...)

If you want all the clarity with more bass I'd say go for the C300s. I did a review in the C300 thread if you want to read it:

Guys, I need some help. I was saving up to buy the Pro 900's and the price rapidly increased so, I'm unable to buy it. Which headphones would you recommend for an EDM lover who also likes a bit of rock every now and then for a budget of roughly around $450

edit: I can't buy headphones used.

My recommendation would be the DT990(if you have the money, Premium version) as it has quite strong bass presence, good enough for all but the most extreme of bassheads, yet nice airy open soundstage, and sharp trebles. Also mids sound less recessed than you would think for a V-shaped sound signature. If you don't want open cans, or maybe some more bass, go for the DT770s, but I haven't got any experience with them first-hand

Denon D600 is another good CLOSED bass heavy phone I'd say is like the Pro900. Your location is a hindrance to finding a Pro900 refurbed by Amazon for $250ish like I found. My D600 was $272 same source.

Interestin. Never heard of them but that's an attractive price. Unfortunately there's no reviews on that.

I actually do get my stuff from abroad but I can't get it refurbed or used since dad pesters me to always buy it new. I can get it from amazon too. Are there any other good competitors?

Dang, for $40 it's worth trying.

Even if it says the bass boost is configured to be +3dB @ 130Hz? 3dB is like nothing, far from "Xtremebass" as its name says, thought it would be more like in the 9-12dB range that some other amps offer. :p Also 130Hz centered boost is way too high, should have been at least 80Hz or lower, but since the amount is only 3dB it shouldn't muddy up the sound too much but I doubt it will sound very nice either but headphones like DT770 Pro/80 it would probably work pretty well with though as they are more subbass focused and midrange recessed so it would help to give them a bit more "meat" to the sound that I think those headphones needs.

The design itself looks really bad though, plasticky, not very sleek looking. I could be wrong though, it could be the most ultra-svelte thing ever in person.

Sorry if off-topic and already answered but:

LCD2 REV2. Leather pads.

Bass-head approved?

hi guys,  I need the best piece of ear gear, whether it be earphones, headphones or whatever WITH the BEST bass. I don't care about ergonomics, aesthetics, extra features or anything else of that sort. Bass is no. 1 on my priority list! One constraint is my budget which will be between $70-$80 USD(let's keep it low guys).
