but seriously though if you ears ring...turn your volume down, Although my ears don't ring I do hear stuff alot q.q and not random noise rather I hear bit's an pieces of music. I guess like having part of a song stuck in my head
Yeah, I had it up loud, not on purpose. I can faintly hear my ears ring, asked my friend, it's normal.
I think my amp brings out different sounds from the music, I really have to be careful with the E12 as you can't set the volume limit. I'm not an idiot, I don't blast my music, one because it'll break my headphones, two because it'll break my ears.

exactly, so for any users don't spew out assumptions guys. Ask questions espically if some one is having an issue

Meh, sorry i guess?

I used to blast it because i didnt know, just too many people who do the exact same thing. Slight ringing when its completely quiet is normal, just if u hear ringing over another sound then its a problem.

Anyways haha i didnt mean to judge just trying to spread the message, tinnitus sucks.

Yeah, I'm sitting in a Media class and everyone's out, probably why I can hear ringing.
It's fine, I mean, I'm not stupid enough to blast, mainly because I don't like leakage and loud volume effects the soundstage, and most of the sound would leak through the ports.

Oh sweet, then its not as big a deal.

Most people think that blasting it makes it sound better.... I think it makes music more visceral sounding, which can be awesome but the hearing damage risk is far too great to make it worth it. Plus you get a better soundstage with better transparency... So yeah.

Idk if the amp actually changes anything though, that's the thing.
Does burn time actually effect the headphone?

The amp could make the headphone more sibilant, but the e12 from what i heard just adds sub bass and vocals... So like the opposite :/

No hissing on the amp or headphones, I use a silver plated / silver copper coiled cable, so the sound is pretty pure. I'm a freak for quality, so that also reduces hiss.
Vocals are pretty good on the M100, bass can be improved. It DOES add clarity, on the drums such as Mac Lethal - War Drum.
It may raise treble a bit, but really the M100s don't need an amp, should of waited until xmas for the E12 Mont Blanc, so my pocket didn't suffer. smily_headphones1.gif

But I mean, once you get used to the amp, it's $130 but you get a better control over the volume and bass of your headphones, and I'm stuck with it, might as well enjoy it.

In other news, my friend found $100 Senn earphones on the floor, brand new. Lucky.

Ironically I find that the actual flacs you get from the CD sound... oppisite how the video shows in terms of 3D image.

To my ears, the trumphets are at the front, the bass at the back and the drum and Panio in the middle xD. Proably a mastering thing, as I can imagine you'd want the bassist closet to the mic seeing as his instrument loses the most detail as it travels, so get him close to get a good strong recording, the reverse the position in mastering

Still there it is :D

I own

-Sennheiser CX300-II

-Microlab solo 6C

Today i bought ASUS XONAR U3

I wanted to buy Sony xb500 but i can't find them anymore so i would like other cans that would match sony's bass

Budget 70-100$

I also listen CAL's on my integrated sound source from laptop and they aren't even close to the cx300.

Any suggestion's ?

Dark and bassy? The V-MODA LP2s are quite dark compared to the M/V80 and the M100.
