Oh gawd ofc, I could be a cigarette smoker, I could be an alchol drinker, I could be into extreme sports, I could be into WEED, but NOPE I'm into head phones! Yea I might drop an entire MONTHS paycheck on cans an amps but I'll have those for about 6 months b4 I buy anything else SO cost per day as well as overall enjoyment. It's a cheap hobby xD

Yup. The bass on the ES10 is full bodied, powerful (without being overbearing) and well controlled. I've heard many of AT's bassy cans, and the ES10 is certainly one of the most impressive. Another contender is the recently released WS99.

Well, I seriously love the balance of lushness and clarity of the LCD-2 but yet it is quite heavy and uncomfortable for me and I'd wished it has more bass and it would be perfect.
LCD-2 - Heavy Weight + More Midbass= Dream Cans! Hey bro PM me Ur no. If you don't mind and maybe we can chat over the phone.

EDIT: Does Electronic music have one note bass or is it just me not paying attention and apparently I'm still having a hard time figuring what Is bass texture......
Sure, I'll PM you so we can have a nice chat sometime. Hopefully, we will be able to take a trip down to Stereo soon.

well I'm up to $600 total e.e new can and new amp [the amp I acutally got for functionality as well]
Ath w1000x with L3000 Pads and a Matrix MStage V2, with upgraded power supply and volume knob. In addition it comes with 3 op amps
one laid back n big {op27 (u know the rest all those op2.... r warm I've found]}
one tight n warm [L4990]
one Lean and airy {l4970 HA or something]
So yea q.q I'm dwn to OMG BROKE, so I got just enough to pay me bills and as always I'm a moron for NOT saving my money up for an OMG emergancy! But the good part is all these cans and amps are rather reseallable SO I think of it as an investment!
But the w1000x will b here Monday, the SS amp will b here some time next week [I plan to use it with my tv's headphone out [SAD FACE] until I can upgrade to an optical in amp]
Wait, those aren't basshead cans?
Kidding, bro! You're still welcome in the Basshead Club so long as you keep your XB700.
Enjoy your new cans!
Ok, I am envious. But damn, that's a fine purchase. I'm sure you're going to enjoy them. If not, you can always approach Craigster for an RMA.

Ha! I posted in the Sig DJ thread that Craig had made another sale! I went back and read the whole Signature DJ thread and it was kind of funny watching Craigster's journey to finally owning a set of these. He must have talked himself in and out of it about five times.

Would it be idiotic to get the sig dj and not have an amp?
I might have enough for it but def not for any kind of sophisticated amp, maybe fiio E17.

They better. I can't always use my desktop amp and I'm counting on my E17 to push them. I'm pretty sure it will do it with no problem though. It was able to push my HE400s and even my 500s to very reasonable volume levels. Didn't sound too bad at all and the built-in EQ is a very nice feature. I'm crazy about my little E17. One of the better "bangs for the buck" around here in my opinion. Certainly enough to keep you going until you can get a more powerful Desktop Amp. Keep in mind you can get a pretty nice Desktop Amp for about the same money (actually cheaper) from Schiit. So that's an option too.

Works great without but I'd recommend getting one sooner or later. I used them some before getting o2 and odac.
+1 It's a big plus that the Sig DJ has features that make it portable-friendly such as low impedance and an included single-button smartphone cable. I use portably with Iphone 4 + V-Moda Vamp.
LOL, that sums up my buying process for the Sig DJ. After I convinced myself, the real challenge was convincing my wife. She is not an audiophile, but after she heard them, she understood.

xD sounds like me and the Solid State I just got, RICE N BEANS here I come e.e

Signature DJ measurements - not sure of credibility of this source but the bumps between 3-5khz looks a bit scary, the one at 8hkz is a bit more subjective. I think the dip between them will help reduce a bit of sibilance. I wish they had distortion measurements too.

I quite agree with this. It has slight bass emphasis, but I didn't find it very engaging for the type of music I listen to at stock levels.
Yeah. And he didn't have a "Craigster" to urge him on, too.
It's really tough to drop a grand on a headphone without testing them first, but Craigster's definitely one of the guys who knows good bass. I'm sure this will be a good set of cans for you.
