He got you too huh? Glad it worked out for you. I am really getting excited about it to tell you the truth. I've done some more research on them and I think they are exactly what I've been looking for. Could these possibly replace my HE500s as my primary rig?

Depends on the type of music I think. Bassier, warmer cans are a bit more forgiving of electronic music as it can be a bit harsh.

I mostly listen to electronic these days, but I do like the other Genres as well. I was only half serious about selling my HE500s. It would take a lot for me to get rid of those, but man it would sure be nice to only have to bring one set of headphones around with me (I always bring my 500s and whatever Basshead Can I have at the time).

If the mids and highs are as good as people say it's a great possibility. I remember the Pro 900s had pretty good staging for a closed back. I didn't have any problem there. I'm sure the same will hold true in the DJ.

 I hear you Bro. It's a little nerve wracking, but if it works out it'll be worth it. I'm weary of trying out Headphones. I just want to get one I love and relax.

YUP, I use it and I recommend the G3 as  a bass head hybrid tube. The boost is pretty nice I think. It keeps my TIGHT bass cans tight, in addition I use a Clear Top [very LEAN] tube in mine to keep the sound nice and smooth while boosted, the boost actually increases the voltage and this changes the sound [I've measured the volts during boost and during in boosted and there is about .20 differance]

Sadly if you boost alot you'll need to re bias ur tubes every 2 weeks or so.

well I'm up to $600 total e.e new can and new amp [the amp I acutally got for functionality as well]

Ath w1000x with L3000 Pads and a Matrix MStage V2, with upgraded power supply and volume knob. In addition it comes with 3 op amps

one laid back n big {op27 (u know the rest all those op2.... r warm I've found]}

one tight n warm [L4990]

one Lean and airy {l4970 HA or something]

So yea q.q I'm dwn to OMG BROKE, so I got just enough to pay me bills and as always I'm a moron for NOT saving my money up for an OMG emergancy! But the good part is all these cans and amps are rather reseallable SO I think of it as an investment!

But the w1000x will b here Monday, the SS amp will b here some time next week [I plan to use it with my tv's headphone out [SAD FACE] until I can upgrade to an optical in amp]

Wow. Congrats! Those are some beautiful Headphones. Sounds like you're really upgrading your setup. I hear you about the $$$ though... I try to look at my Headphones as cheap therapy.
