Is that a good or bad thing? How does the mid range compare?

well I have a feeling the $300 mad dog has much better mids, but that's twice the price... for mids I have my dt 880 and my Tube amps [even for the 990 I'll b using a tube]

But yea I want the Mad Dogs... just can't afford right now. After my dt 990 purcahse the mad dogs [with Alpha pads] will b next!

Thank you for all the replies regarding my upcoming M80! Seems like I'll be going for a E11 then. Not too many used ones circulating these forums unfortunately for a good price.
Jmsilva22, sorry, but what's a zip?

I don't have either, but I previewed the 80 ohms before and I throughly enjoyed them except for the fact they're massive. When I was doing my research for them, the general consensus was that the 80ohms was much bassier than all the other versions. The 32 ohms was more like the 250 ohms, sound signature wise.

Might it be worth adding rockboxed DAPs to the EQ-able list seeing as they're very customisable in terms of sound?

Ah okay what a nice little player. I'll probably be playing mine out of my phone though since I find it cumbersome to have too many things. I have an ippd touch I never use now cause of it lol.

Does anybody know how much a used fiio e11 goes for usually?

A new one goes for $60, so used has to be like $40 I guess. Maybe less if you get lucky?

Craigster!

I got to try the M-100 today. What a treat! Totally exceeded my expectations. I sure wish I had a SDJ here to compare it with.

For that club-feeling, I still use a lot of low-end EQ on the XB1000. I can EQ the M-100 to be as bassy as the XB and it hits hard, but it just doesn't punch as clean and tight as the XB. Do you think the SDJ noticeably punches tighter and cleaner than the M-100 even when EQ'ing in way too much bass? I'm dying to hear the SDJ again.

Alright, thanks a bunch.

...So which headfier wants to sell me a Fiio E11! I'm in Canada.

Damn Canadian prices. Everything is more expensive than the states even with a pretty even dollar.

Meh not a fan of Audio Technica stuff anymore. Those damn wings of theirs break too often for me.

I'll take a closer look at the xb series.

It is very tight, and that's how I like my bass... Demo LCD2.2s are god like though... wink.gif

Just got home from work to find some JVC FXZ200s here. After half an hour of listening I can say that these are by far my new favorite headphones. Listening to some Gramatik and they sound amazing...

The TMA-1s and LP-2s will now stay with my DJ gear. The JVCs are coming with me everywhere else.

The M-100 is fantastic as I have said since being one of the first to own them.  At their price point they are the best sounding basshead can out there IMO.  The Sig DJ still does everything a bit better as it should based on the price discrepancy.  Specific to bass, the Sig DJ does punch with more authority at higher volumes.  Where the M-100 will "purr", the Sig DJ will still solidly punch.  Both sound so good across the range, I can enjoy Jewel as much as Jay-Z, but my new go-to can is the Sig DJ.

How about the ATH-ES10's, according to the review at Headfonia, they have more bass punch than most portables including the Beats Studio's and also even more than the HD-650's. http://www.headfonia.com/audio-technica-es10/3/
