ouch, I'm sorry  to hear it :[

Just got my second e17. Sent my first one back and ordered a new one. This one is broken too (no charge). I got them both from Amazon . Just a heads up to everyone.

I have the CKS77 (my fave IEM ever) and just got the cks1000 today (sond stage is huge, clarity is fantastic, not nearly as dark as the 77), Got the cks1000 on burn in atm to see how the sound develops.  As it stands the cks77 would be better for bassheads, but that may change as the cks1000 matures as they really sound beautiful already.

which one wins for sub bass quantity?

Not sure, as the vpulse is my next purchase. Many recommend going with the CKS77 over the 90 though.  I don't have to 90 but I do have the 77 and they are amazing.

Guess I'm the only one who hated CKS77. :/ Horrible upper-mid ringing issue.

If you're looking to get CIEMs, the Dream Earz AUD-7x will not disappoint. Some of the best bass I've heard.

what does the c in ciem stand for?

anyhow, i was being specific, because those are the only two available to me. as i said, most things wont ship to my country. i was just looking to get new iems, and those two popped up on the trade forum.

im going with the v-pulse btw. from the little i read, they have massive quantity, which is what i need. its just for 20-30 minutes on the bus. im using dtx 101s and getting very frustrated with the bass being drowned out by the engine noise. so i figured i needed something more sub wooferish, and the velodynes seem to be just the ticket.

Custom In Ear Monitor. You need to get ear molds for customs as they are fitted to your ears only.

Well, I went ahead and bought the Schiit Magni. Now, I just have to wait for my AD2000 driver to come in so I can finish my AD900->AD2000 transplant mod, and wait for the Magni to come in. It's gonna be a fun week.

What do people suggest for a step up for sub-bass from 1964q and are headphones? I'm quite happy with my 1964s, but I just want to find something with more oomph for lounging use.
