i want to keep it under $200

i want to pair either of them to a fiio e11

V-Moda LP2

Audio Technica ATH-M50

Pioneer HDJ-2000

Pioneer HDJ-1500

JBLJ88

The Crossfade LP2 is a really bassy headphone that has some clarity buried under all that bass. If you really love bass in your music, and this takes preference over clarity, mid-range and treble detail, you may want to try the LP2. It is also very well built, and comes with a ton of accessories.

The HDJ-1500 and HDJ-2000 are quite similar sounding. I have just got my HDJ-1500, so I haven't had much time with it yet. But the Pioneer sound is there - deep, clear bass with a slight mid-bass hump, and some slight treble sparkle. The HDJ-2000 has slightly more quality, but sacrifices in mid-bass compared to the HDJ-1500. Still, the build quality of the HDJ-2000 is really top notch. If you love good, but not overpowering bass, and a somewhat clean sound, you can try the Pioneers. Go for the HDJ-1500, as the 2000 may be a little too expensive.

The M50, when amped, does have a slightly good bass presentation; at stock levels though, it is not a basshead can at all.

Scratch the HDJ 1500 off that list, they aren't as much like the HDJ 2000 as I would like. The 1000s are better

On Amazon the HDJ-2000 is only $50 more

Anybody wanna give me an idea of what I can expect with the HAS-500 in comparison to the Noontec Zoro?

whats so bad about the 1500's

Q40's are only 100$ at B&H I think, they seem like a good option for you

Cant go wrong with the hdj-2000, especially now offered in black.

Sorry, meant to mention that the bass on the 2000's scales very well with the ZO.
Only thing that sucks is the replacement cable options are limited because of the mini xlr, as the stock cable is rather annoying for portable use

I understand. They sound fairly good from a portable source alone, the ZO is obviously optional. But I must mention that the $50 or so over the 1500 for stellar build quality is more than worth it in my opinion.

Since this is the Basshead Club thread, these cans may be very appealing to those subscribed here:

Great boomy bass and not woobly or wooly like the Monster or Beats headphones.

so let me get this straight...I will get better overall sound ( sound quality & bass) than the m50 and lp2's with the 2000's? And if the pioneers Is that good, why no one talk about them?

Can anyone compare the V-moda M-100 with the NuForce HP800? Or maybe suggest similar alternatives under and around $300?
