For me, my favorite combo for EDM is still E11 + HFI 580. Although I'm not a fan of hot treble, the Ultrasone cans really do deliver a bit of the top-end sparkle.

Yea it's my channel :D Promoting a lot of newcomers stuff besides uploading great new releases with that particular style (as hardstyle has very different kinds of sounds to them depending on artist/track and I created the channel specificly for that kind of melodic/uplifting style) and also upload great classics from years ago too every now and then.

Great to see at least some1 else around here appriciating this kind of music. ;)

Are they new or used?

Love the amp! What music player are you using?

Very unfortunately I am stuck to iTunes, since it syncs with everything. I hate Apple.

But you also see a system-wide, easy, 10 band EQ called "Boom." I love it. I played with the 40 band EQ's, but I am way too OCD. I find my 10-band works great when I just wanna have some beers and give myself a bass slam.

I couldn't agree more! I really need to set up an EQ, but my HD650s already sound great! rolleyes.gif

They're new. They got a 14 day return policy if I don't want them.

Keep up the good work, bro. Your channel has helped to introduce a lot of awesome tunes. beerchug.gif

Btw, how do you get your source files? I don't mind paying for them, but it's hard to get good EDM music stores. I use Beatport, but they don't always have everything.

M50 isn't a basshead can.  If you want GREAT clarity, add the V-Moda M-100 to your list.  Also check out the Logitech UE6000.

The Crossfade LP2 is a really bassy headphone that has some clarity buried under all that bass. If you really love bass in your music, and this takes preference over clarity, mid-range and treble detail, you may want to try the LP2. It is also very well built, and comes with a ton of accessories.

The HDJ-1500 and HDJ-2000 are quite similar sounding. I have just got my HDJ-1500, so I haven't had much time with it yet. But the Pioneer sound is there - deep, clear bass with a slight mid-bass hump, and some slight treble sparkle. The HDJ-2000 has slightly more quality, but sacrifices in mid-bass compared to the HDJ-1500. Still, the build quality of the HDJ-2000 is really top notch. If you love good, but not overpowering bass, and a somewhat clean sound, you can try the Pioneers. Go for the HDJ-1500, as the 2000 may be a little too expensive.

The M50, when amped, does have a slightly good bass presentation; at stock levels though, it is not a basshead can at all.
