hmm, other reviews said, that is not even as good as the the xb700s... interesting

They are as good as the AKG K167 but with 10x more bass. Like +20db or so.

 

EDIT: They lacked a bit of clarity, I've just modded them, they're now so clean and trasparent and the bass still smashes my face like the XB500 (well, even more and its MUCH tighter).

Can you link to the thread? And what does the mod do to the bass? Are they bassier than the XB500's? These look perfect for what I want if it does highs well also, but bass being #1! xD

I'm really wanting to get XB500's as they're over ear, and should have great bass, and I want to get them before they sell out! biggrin.gif

Those are too muddy. It's just bass. No mids and treble. Get the 800 instead. Talk to ya tomorrow. Need some sleep.

Anybody know the best basshead IEM near a $100ish. 

Mainly want good isolation, bass and build quality. 

 

I am currently looking at the Atrio MG7, XB90 EX and CKS77. A

 

Any suggestions? 

 

 

EDIT: I can stretch my budget up further, but this will be for casual listening outside, when I won't be able to listen to all the little things.

Velodyne VPulse is supposedly excellent in that price range.
