question for iem users:
i dont use iems very often, only for 10-30 minuets when on the bus, and thats not every day.
i use beyerdynamic dtx101. iv heard that changing the tips can make a big difference to the bass. is ther any truth to this? if so, what tips are the best for bringing out the sub bass?
I have read the Comply foam tips work best, you just want to make sure you purchase the right style for your headphone. I have always had difficulty with the seal of silicone tips, even trying multiple sizes. The only basshead IEM that has worked well for me is the B&W C5 which has an ear loop to secure them and maintain a good seal, even during active use. This good seal contributes to what I consider excellent bass from these. I still use them as an alternative to my M-100s if I am going somewhere I can't take headphones.
