The Basshead Club - Page 15

My Hippos and Coppers sound good!

Coppers bass is a little more smoother and accurate.

Hippos are very enjoyable. 80 bucks you got to cop them if you are a basshead.

Coppers are really annoying though cause you really need a good seal, so i am constantly messing with them and jamming them in my ears. Once you get that seal , your golden though.

Actually the coppers bass might go deeper now that i A/B them.  The Hippos have a HUGE punch and big boom, but i think the monster coppers go deeper. Its pretty close if your asking which has bigger bass.

The hippos sound more "airy".  Im not sure which has a bigger soundstage.  Coppers are "brighter" with better mids. Hippos definitley have a darker sound to them. They make tracks sound sinister. It sounds muffled which could be preference.

Both are a pain in my ass to seal. Why i like my sony iems cause i don't have to mess around with the sonys, it pop them in and roll.

Added the ex1000s to the mix.  They are really bright and detailed , could be looked at as sibilant (like pro 900s), definitely less bass.  They sound very "whispery".  I wouldn't consider them basshead iems, but are extremely enjoyable through my bass boosted xm6 (+6db). They really hit that neuro/ mid bass perfectly with all that detail. They have that tight, detailed bass, but lacks depth.

the only thing is that the klispch gels do feel more comfortable they get stuck in my ear and i end up taking out just the earphone(it doesnt fit the bud) and they dont have good isolation compared to the gels it originally came with. the memory foam does wreck havok on the earphones even though they are comfortable.

Audeze will be showing it of at CanJam next week, Tyll from InnerFidelity will be at CanJam so there is a chance that he'll get to borrow one and measure them, but Jude will likely be hearing it and writing a review popcorn.gif

Anyone know much about that Ultrasone Signature Pro? Looks like a DJ headphone, maybe it would be a warmer Pro900 or something? It also cost over 1K, so a no go for me...

Its an unlimited production flagship by Ultrasone, I think its should be the typical Ultrasone awesomeness, lots of bass and S-Logic. The same old headband the headband looks disturbing though, reminds me of the PRO headbands, sure hope they had Sennheiser like comfort, at least Ultrasones sounds EPIC. popcorn.gif

Hey,i've noticed the xba series iems are listed as basshead iems.Anyone tried them out yet? I'm looking at xba-02 but isn't it a little bit silly to consider them basshead iems without even hearing them?

They are not released yet. It's listed as a basshead IEM judging from its frequency graph.
