My Hippos and Coppers sound good!
Coppers bass is a little more smoother and accurate.
Hippos are very enjoyable. 80 bucks you got to cop them if you are a basshead.
Coppers are really annoying though cause you really need a good seal, so i am constantly messing with them and jamming them in my ears. Once you get that seal , your golden though.
Actually the coppers bass might go deeper now that i A/B them. The Hippos have a HUGE punch and big boom, but i think the monster coppers go deeper. Its pretty close if your asking which has bigger bass.
The hippos sound more "airy". Im not sure which has a bigger soundstage. Coppers are "brighter" with better mids. Hippos definitley have a darker sound to them. They make tracks sound sinister. It sounds muffled which could be preference.
Both are a pain in my ass to seal. Why i like my sony iems cause i don't have to mess around with the sonys, it pop them in and roll.
Added the ex1000s to the mix. They are really bright and detailed , could be looked at as sibilant (like pro 900s), definitely less bass. They sound very "whispery". I wouldn't consider them basshead iems, but are extremely enjoyable through my bass boosted xm6 (+6db). They really hit that neuro/ mid bass perfectly with all that detail. They have that tight, detailed bass, but lacks depth.
