Im just using the med silicone tips they came with.  They are the bet fitting to me.  Ya i'll let you know.  As of now I'm studying for midterms... yuck...

I found a few sellers on amazon selling them for a bit less like $169 range but they send it 2night air delivery.  So it comes to about $190.  Haha my wife heard my new IE and she wants a pair now...hahah

Let me know how they perform in the weight room but I'm definitely intrigued by the idea of having these in the gym. How's the isolation and what kind of tips are you using?

I vote for the Klipsch X10. Or you can save money and buy the Klipsch X5, sound is identical. Let's see: they're both veeeerry comfortable and light. Nice bass too.

i was thinking of the x10's but there a little expensive. id might get the x5's considering that there a 100 dollars cheaper.

I understand how you feel, 'm studying for midterms too. But my recent purchases of a pair of MD Tribute and the Eterna is quite distracting. tongue_smile.gif Yea let me know what you think once you've got a chance to go to the gym with them.

How much bass are you looking for? Out of the 4 you mentioned I think the future sonics win hands down for the most bass. The other 3 are all BA drivers and IMO can't match the bass produced by dynamic speakers. The se425 and q jays are both dual BAs and will most certainly not have the bass you're looking for. Instead they are more detailed, faster and focuses more on the midrange. The x10 are a little warmer and have decent punch to the bass, however I think it is over priced at it's current street price and there are much better options.

Check the list of bassy IEMs on the first post in this thread. Of the phones I've heard personally, I'd recommend the Eterna (can be found on Frogbeats as they just stocked up), the FA Genesis (which has a sound VERY similar to the Eterna), Xears TD III Blackwood, NuForce NE700X/M, Hippo VB, and the IE8 or FX700.

bass has to be present. if the bass is heavy then thats a plus.

alright ive looked at them but i couldnt seem to find some of them online

how are the bass on eterna and gensis? or do the future sonics have more bass and and better overall sound?

also the vsonic gr07 are around the same price as the future sonics(whats the difference in sound between them?) and my new comply foam tips would be able to fix on the future sonics(i would also mainly be listening to electronic music/dubstep/trance/tech house/techno/electro/house/psy trance)

Sounds like you want good bass extension, all the way below 20hz. I haven't the stuff you mentioned but somebody else should be able to help beerchug.gif

hows the bass on them? ^

The low extension is very very good on the Eterna and Genesis. I can't comment on the Future Sonics as I have no heard them, but apparently they have one of the best if not the best sub bass in IEMs. The Future Sonics are definitely a bass head type of phone and probably one of the best for dubstep. For trance I remember being extremely impressed with the CK10 however those will not provide you the low end extension nor impact of bass.

Yes Future Sonic all use the 100 series from Comply. The GR07 is an extremely balanced earphone that doesn't excel in any particular area and does nothing wrong. They have pretty good extension on both ends and works well with every genre. Bass is not as strong as the Future Sonics nor Eterna/Genesis but are in no ways lacking in quality or quantity.

i found a comparison between the EX1000 and the IE8s http://www.head-fi.org/t/562714/sony-mdr-ex1000-the-cake-is-not-a-lie

and the Monster Pro Copper is 280 bucks

my decision would be between the future sonics and the vsonic gr07 i could get either one no problem but if i got the vsonic gr07 i wouldnt be able to use my brand new comply foam tips i got yesterday although theyd be 165 and 15 percent off with the code on the website.(140 bucks + shipping).

also id wouldnt be using any amp to power the earphones id just be using them on my ipod and ocassionaly on my droid

i dont think im going to go with the ex1000's maybe in the future but ill just go with a cheaper set for now
