Hello,

just a quick question, does the popular headphone, audio technica ATH-M50S, falls into basshead category?

If it's anything like the m50 I would say is all the opposite from a basshead headphone. Even the momentum I would call basshead compared to the m50

I'd say  no. The new version has a detachable chord though. It gets a lot of love because it treats the 3 major spectrum sections well. If they were really "bassy" I don't think they would be so well loved.

Hey, I've got $200-300 to put into upgrading my equipment and am looking for some recommendations on where it would be best spent. I currently have a pair of XB700s that I love and the source is a PC with onboard audio (ALC898). Thanks.

Agreed on that. I have my HTC One rooted and it took a lot more time and effort to root than my galaxy s2. Also the fact that there's no sd card makes it even more risky and harder. Nevertheless it's an awesome device which ran smoothly with me for the past year and I haven't had any major problems with..

Tbh 32Gb is enough for me. I'm not going to put all my music in there.. Just a couple of albums.

Looking to pick up a cheap headphone amp. I saw the AUVIO Headphone Amplifier at radio shack. What do you think about it

Never heard of it... Pick yourself up a FiiO E11, great little unit for its price with 2 levels of bass boost.
^this. Cheap, well built, powerful and the bass boost is very good.
