Hehe... Phones.... Headphones.... Ha....

If you hate HTC Sense you'd hate the One.

Also I've vaguely heard that on HTC phones the root process is more complicated than on a Nexus(two adb commands and you're done with the bootloader, then just flash a recovery and root). Also Nexuses are impossible to hardbrick.

No micro SD card slot so I can't store my (full) music library in it and use it with the Apex Glacier.

Why no likey iPod Touch or iPhone?

My iPhone 4 run through a NuForce iDo DAC and into vintage amps sounds very very good, comparable to my netbook feeding a NuForce uDac2 into vintage amps.  Also have an iPod Touch feeding yet another NuForce iDo into yet another vintage amp setup.  They all sound amazing.  As good as CD's or vinyl.  And are good front ends for basshead sound setups.

So really, what is it about the iPhone/iPod Touch you don't like compared to iPod classic (which I also have as well, feeding my portable setup)?

Inquiring minds.

By the way, have a JVC HAMX-55 for cheap if you want a spare.

how much for the spare, and its not about iPhone sound, its about iPhone performance and technical specifications. A dual core 1.2 GHz processor for 500$?... That's unacceptably bad... And they don't have anything to make up for it either. Not camera, not screen resolution, not color representation... Nothing. Except audio. That's a big waste of money for a "multi" purpose device. IPod touch has the same issues. Terrible performance, low resolution screen... Plus the IOS is lacking in customization, and its file system isn't open to take a peek at.

Mobile processors are fine. They have been for years.

Battery life and efficiency are important in phone processors, not sheer power. Dual cores were actually great for this.

The only apps that come even remotely close to using all of a phones resources are games, and some of us don't use games for mobile, or care to push a few more FPS if we do.

For browsing, HD multimedia use, texting, calling, etc - dual cores were fine.

And as for being "open" - jailbreaking is fine by me!

Nice try....lol

They are paper cup sounding craptastical bass pushers. Don't pawn that off around here...;)

The "New Version" 77's are 20 bucks more and have a true V shape...look ma!! Highs!!!:D   ...and epic slammage. The 55's showed how easy it is to manufacture bass hits superior to a lot of expensive cans endorsed by Rappers but they did nothing more....but that led me here so I owe them a lot .

I'm offering them to the biggest fanboy on the planet.....................and he seems to want them!  He loves the sound so I'm happy to provide.  My nephew liked the original Skullcandy crushers I gave him a while back.  He's 14.

Both the phone and touch were provided by my company so cost was nothing.

We are talking about audio here, so I could care less about video, camera, nothing but them being a slave for my ears.

Well played.

Though I'd say some of the fanboys in hi-fi who pay 1, 2k + for their cans because other folks say they are good...then rationalize their move by loving everything about _______ while ignoring glaring faults are the true fanboys. They are delusional.

Is "rationalization" even one of the steps to recovery? I think it is... but they need to move or skip to the "acceptance" faze.:D
